In 2017 Anne Arendt, Anthony Morris, and Mary Naylor Stephens surveyed hundreds of public libraries across America about their use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) resources and technologies. This poster will review their findings, including the most common ways GIS technologies are used in libraries, common barriers, and suggest ways to facilitate implementing GIS in libraries. Presenters will also review GIS resources that are available to Utah libraries.
