The Utah Digital Newspaper (UDN) program has been operating since 2002 and currently contains approximately 24 million digital artifacts. An Application Programming Interface (API) has been implemented to work with machine interactions, as an additional step in the information dissemination process. The API will allow them to programmatically access the data and process them through custom programs, or transfer the data to external systems for further analysis.
